Luxury in Valais, Switzerland

Alpine chic is what you will get in the Valais region. I stayed in Crans-Montana and Zermatt, two swanky mountain towns that are perfect for luxury seekers and outdoor enthusiasts. With a focus on adventures, the style is upscale but active. Both hotels fit the part, with a ski chalet fee, styled with wooden timber, fireplaces and cozy Swiss ambiance. Food ranges from hearty local fare like cheesy raclette with potatoes to freshly picked produce, mushrooms and game. I spent an afternoon with a Michelin chef, enjoying food cooked in an outdoor oven, along with views of the rolling mountains.
